Choosing the Shape and Size of Your Storage Pouffe
Pouffes are generally used as foot rests or additional seating for children. However: Pouffes can also be very useful storage areas for those untidy heaps of knee blankets or magazines. The question, however, is: which pouffe do you need – or even want for that matter?
There are several types of pouffes to choose from: There’s the drum storage pouffe, the square storage pouffe, the round storage pouffe, large storage pouffe and the small storage pouffe. All of these pouffes come in different fabrics and materials like prints and leather and have a character all of their own.
Drum storage pouffes seem to be one of the most common shapes chosen. As they can be large storage pouffes or small storage pouffes, they are ideal for putting loose pillows or a blanket or two in. They’re also comfortable for someone to sit on.
The most well-known or common are the round storage pouffes. They are a little flatter that the drum storage pouffe and also seems to have a little more storage room. They are also a little shorter than the drum storage pouffe, so little people with short legs can easily sit on them.
Square storage pouffes generally give the idea of being large storage pouffes, but are actually the same size as any of the other pouffes. Their shape makes them more suited to storage – especially when you’re storing books and magazines. They are also spacious enough for blankets and pillows.
Selecting the Material for Your Storage Pouffe
As mentioned above, you can have a suede storage pouffe, a leather storage pouffe or a fabric covered storage pouffe. It will depend on where you want to use it as well as how it’s going to be used. If you have small children you may decide to rather get leather storage pouffes as they are easy to wipe clean. However: If you’re past the small children stage and want a classy, sophisticated look, you may look at suede storage pouffes or have fabric covered storage pouffes made.
Either way, you get to choose the material that you want. You can buy a storage pouffe ready-made, or you can request a fabric sample from the manufacturer and order your own, unique pouffe to be made.
Storage pouffes are wonderful things to have when you are cramped for space and cupboard space. It is always difficult getting to the things you really need. Therefore you can put everyday things like lounge blankets and small pillows into your storage pouffe and never have a problem getting to them again.
